Francis Dumont, MD

Dr. Frank Dumont has joined McGilligan MD and is currently accepting patients.

Dr. Frank Dumont, after many years in private practice and the past seven years working for Visiting Physicians, has joined McGilligan MD. He is looking forward to working alongside his daughter, Dr. Katherine Dumont.

Frank grew up in Mt. Washington and raised his family in Anderson Township. His path towards practicing medicine began May 1977, when he survived and walked out of the Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire. This experience led him to join the Anderson Township Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. He completed his paramedic training in 1978-1979 at University Hospital and became an employed firefighter in Anderson Township in 1980.

Shortly thereafter he enrolled in college at the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1985, all the while raising his family and still working for the fire department. He then went to medical school at the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1990. He completed his residency and chief residency in Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 1993.

Outside of the office, Dr. Frank Dumont enjoys music and spending time with his six beautiful grandchildren, 3 boys and 3 girls, ranging in age from 8 to 25.
