Francis (Frank) Dumont, MD will have his first day at McGilligan MD on 7/1/21. We are currently accepting pre registrations to be a patient of his. If prospective patients sign up prior to the end of May, we are waiving the $75 registration fee. He is a family practice physician, meaning he sees patients of all ages, from infants to senior adults.
Many people in Anderson Township are already very familiar with Dr. Frank. He grew up in Mt. Washington and raised his family in Anderson Township. Dr. Katie Dumont is his daughter. He is a caring man who enjoys spending time with his six grandchildren.
His path towards practicing medicine began May 1977, when he survived and walked out of the Beverly Hills Supper Club Fire. This experience led him to join the Anderson Township Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. He completed his paramedic training in 1978-1979 at University Hospital and became an employed firefighter in Anderson Township in 1980.
Shortly thereafter he enrolled in college at the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1985, all the while raising his family and still working for the fire department. He then went to medical school at the University of Cincinnati, graduating in 1990. He completed his residency and chief residency in Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 1993.
Most of his career had been spent in private practice. For the past 7 years he has been doing home visits with Visiting Physicians. He is excited to return to private practice. We here at McGilligan MD are thrilled to have him. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their doctor.
