No Excuses November

Becky McGilligan / November 1, 2019 / 1 minute read

Each January, countless people will make a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight and get fit. Gyms are packed to the brim, health foods are on the end-caps at the grocery stores, and physician offices see more people about ways to lose weight.

Why wait until January? Why not start now?

The physicians at McGilligan MD would like to introduce a new concept: No Excuses November.

We’re going to try to update our Facebook page daily with little health tips on getting fit, eating well, and being healthy. We’ll try to focus on what Dr. McGilligan considers the main 5 things in fitness: getting enough sleep, eating real/healthy food, drinking enough water, moving our bodies, and practicing mindfulness/stress relief.

While we’re aware that family events and parties are stumbling blocks (and we don’t want you to feel like you are missing out on Aunt Susie’s famous homemade pumpkin pie) there is no reason to not try some healthy habits prior to the new year.

Let’s do this together! Read our health tips, comment on the facebook and twitter feeds, and let’s keep each other accountable.
